In 2016 a new advisory Board was constituted by merging the older Steering Group with new members who effectively represented the diversity of perspectives in the South African food system. This group of individuals offer their time to support and guide the SAFL. They meet on a quarterly basis.
This is a group of individuals from across the food system who manages, facilitates and/or coordinates the various programmes, projects, and activities of the SAFL on a part-time basis.
The Faculty of AgriSciences at Stellenbosch University lends administrative and logistical support to SAFL to realise its activities.
